27. LOANER MOANER
| If you are having a large service done at the dealership and you do not have a convenient ride, insist on a complimentary loaner car for the day. You are paying hundreds of dollars and they are making a killing off you. Believe me, most dealerships have a whole fleet of cars that they use for just this reason. Especially if you purchased the vehicle at that particular dealership, giving you a loaner should be a given. When you make the service appointment, ask for the loaner in advance. This will discourage the dealership from telling you that they do not have a loaner available. |

Note, you may have to give a credit card imprint or cash as a security deposit. This common practice and you may consider getting the extra insurance if your insurance will not cover you in a loaner. Call you insurance carrier for guidenance.
Again remember, a large majority of dealerships depend on their surveys for extra revenue. Use the survey to your advantage.
