Just as with a scratch or dent, make sure that the car is clean and shining. Once you drive off the lot, your salesperson and especially your sales manager could care less if you are driving a dirty car. I would care. If I purchased a new car I would want it to sparkle.

Just as I mentioned before, do not have the vehicle delivered in the dark. Also, make sure that they give you a full tank of gas. Even if you are purchasing a preowned vehicle, make sure you have enough gas to get to the nearest gas station. I cannot tell you how many calls I got from angry customers that ran out of gas after leaving the dealership. I personally would have them fill up the tank, new or pre owned. Believe me, they can afford it. Did you know that General Managers of Dealerships make between $25,000 and $50,000 per month. Now, get that tank of gas.
